A Contingency search is a service where-as the client
is looking for a full time employee and has the advantage of not paying a fee until the position is filled. We will continually
provide candidates until the position is filled or closed. This type of search is most commonly requested by companies that
have specific positions to fill and are willing to pay a fee agreed upon once the position in filled.
The Contingency Process:
Needs assessment:
Meet with the client to define the specific needs and determine
the appropriate search strategy for attracting the most qualified candidates.
Client acceptance of terms:
Mutually agree as to the urgency, terms and fee paid by the client upon successful
location and hiring of the candidate. The fee to the client is a percentage of the candidate's first year
annual salary. The payment terms are net due 30 days of candidate's start date. A guarantee of employment is provided
for each candidate placed.
Time to strategize:
Work very closely with the client
and/or the hiring manager regarding our search strategy in locating top quality candidates in a timely manner.
Identifying
Candidates:
Through preliminary screening processes quality
candidates are identified and contacted.
Qualification:
The
ideal candidates are profiled including qualifying skills, experience, determining interest and availability, prior to
presentation of resume to client.
Candidate Presentation:
The
candidate's profile, including resume is presented to the client in email format with a short positioning statement summarizing
the qualifications, interest and availability of the candidate for the requirement, in order to schedule an initial interview.
Interview:
Once interview
is scheduled, we will meet with and prepare candidates for face-to-face client meeting. Release candidates not
to be pursued and conduct in-depth references on all remaining candidates. Prepare for second-round interviews, if needed,
including supplying reference check information.
Offer and Acceptance:
Work closely with client to assist in structuring an appropriate compensation package for the chosen candidate regarding
counteroffer issue.
Customer satisfaction:
Communication is never broken
with client during and after the process is completed.
A Retained Search is more of a consulting
search vs. the contingency search. Fees are achieved regardless of the time it takes to secure the right candidate. The main
difference between the two is with a retained search we have the opportunity of working a bit more closely with the company.
Typically they are best suited for senior-level management positions and the bigger challenge is recruiting the talent from
the competition.
Retained Search agreement:
Retained searches are one of the highest in priority
and best suited for high level critical openings such as VP, Director, Sr level Management, Business Unit Leaders, etc.
Dedicated
sourcing as well as a full focus is provided on this type of search. We commit the majority of our time to filling your
position and the performance guarantee is a minimum of two to three quality candidates. These candidates would be considered
quality if they met or exceeded the client company's requirement and presented within a specified time period..
